Head of School Recognized for Innovation in Education

Girl Scouts Heart of the South honored a select group of women who have made major impacts in their respective industries including Dr. Annette Smith, our Head of School.
Five Hutchison Girl Scouts joined Head of School Dr. Annette Smith at the One Smart Cookie Luncheon, benefiting the Girl Scouts Heart of the South. In this inaugural luncheon, the Girl Scouts honored a select group of women who have made major impacts in their respective industries. This year’s honorees included remarkable leaders from the corporate, entrepreneurial, public service, education, and philanthropic ranks. Dr. Smith was named the One Smart Cookie for innovative work as an educator. She was specifically applauded for the role she has played in helping define for the Mid-South what it means for a private school to have a public purpose through the establishment of Hutchison’s Center for Excellence and community-focused programs such as Hutchison Leads and Hutchison Serves.

Congratulations to Dr. Smith and all of this year’s One Smart Cookie honorees!
