Girls thrive at Hutchison because we understand how girls learn and what helps them succeed. In addition to academic, athletic, and character development—the mind, body, and spirit referenced in our mission statement—we encourage each girl to find her voice and take risks without fear of failure. Dedicated faculty leverage the proven advantages of an all-girl school. We know girls learn differently than boys, and we employ teaching strategies proven to work best for the ways girls think, learn, and interact.

Discover the joyful learning happening here
See for yourself the excitement that permeates the air at Hutchison. Girls are engaged in learning, thinking creatively and making connections across disciplines. Our community of students, faculty, parents, administration, and staff are bonded by a common goal – to help you succeed. Hutchison is small enough to celebrate each girl’s unique talents and interests yet large enough to offer advanced technologies and rigorous academics in a diverse environment.
What’s that buzzing? Creative energy everywhere!
Campus is always buzzing with formal art shows, AP sculpture exhibits, and the exciting sounds of mounting full-scale theatre productions.
Creative expression is a hallmark of a Hutchison education as girls learn from professional artist educators. Girls can choose from an array of opportunities at all grade levels, including the intensive Certificate of Arts program in Upper School.
Designed under the premise that participating in sports creates a healthy sense of self-awareness and confidence, athletic opportunities range from intramurals for basic skill development to highly competitive varsity sports. Hutchison fields over 70 teams and boasts multiple regional and state championships.
The campus lake and farm provide endless learning opportunities, like first graders making mud pies and sculptures out of clay for a unit on soil. The AP Environmental Science class, meanwhile, explores organic and vertical gardening on the farm.
We invite prospective Early Childhood (Little Hive-Junior Kindergarten) and Lower School (Kindergarten-4th Grade) girls and their families to start their holidays at Hutchison! We will drink hot chocolate as we make ornaments. We may even have a visit from a special friend!
All 5th-12th grade applicants should register for the ISEE online at erblearn.org.
