These good boys did not know they would inspire JK girls for journal writing, but they were happy to help! Dr. Ring's dogs' fun caper illustrates Hutchison's approach to early literacy and engaged learning.
Meet Tanya Crump, one of Hutchison's junior kindergarten teachers. She is a dynamic, creative teacher who brings her students' dreams to life in the classroom, from learning about running a business to hatching baby chicks.
Kennedy Adeogba ’23, Lacy Williams ’23, and Nyla Johnson ’23 will make a short film with a $500 budget and receive mentoring from a professional filmmaker.
Hutchison girls won 57 Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards this year, with 11 Gold Keys, 15 Silver Keys, and 31 Honorable Mentions. Several students also won special awards for their work.
This year's bazaar features local artisans and vendors. In addition to the shopping experience, food vendors will provide lunch at a nominal fee. Admission to the bazaar is free and open to the public.
Hutchison teachers know how to energize their classrooms. It’s all about inspiring a love of learning and making connections across disciplines…Chinese class may take place on the campus farm and sixth graders compose operas about the earthquakes they study in science.
We believe bright minds need a healthy body, a compassionate soul and the freedom of creative expression. Ours is a balanced approach to education. We are equally vested in the girls’ intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being.
We inspire lives of purpose, challenging girls to appreciate their community and the world around them. Beginning in the early grades, we promote the value of living in community. We cultivate ethical thinkers who make meaningful decisions and aspire to be global citizens.
