Three Hutchison Seniors Selected to All-Southwest Honor Choir
Sarah Austin '17, Madyson Bolton '18, and Becket Monaghan '19 have been selected to perform with the prestigious 2016 All-Southwest Senior High Honor Choir.
Three Hutchison girls recently earned honors through the choral auditions of the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educators Association (WTVMEA) and were selected to perform with the prestigious All-Southwest Senior High Honor Choir. They have spent countless hours practicing musical selections and improving their skills in preparation for auditions under the guidance of Hutchison faculty member and choir director Leiza Collins. They competed against hundreds of other students from across West Tennessee for their placements.
Senior Sarah Austin was selected to 6th-Chair Soprano II. Madyson Bolton '18 was named 12th-Chair Soprano II, and Becket Monaghan '19 was selected to 14th-Chair Alto I.
Sarah reflected on her time working with Ms. Collins and her dedication to help the girls succeed when she said, "I appreciate that Ms. Collins pushes us to practice a lot more on difficult sections because it has helped me to become more confident in many ways."
We are so proud of our girls' hard work, determination, and passion for music. Congratulations!

For her senior myExperience project, Haley Floyd ’25 combined her love of animals with a deep concern for the mental health of young women. Haley launched Pause for Paws, an initiative that brought therapy dogs to campus to offer comfort and connection. She received a 10<20 Youth Impact Award from “Memphis Parent” magazine for her work.

Through years of theatre, dance, music, and leadership in the arts, Chloe Simpson ’25 found confidence, community, and her voice. From the stage to the classroom, she embraced every opportunity to grow as a performer, student, and civic thinker.
