Three Hutchison Seniors Selected to All-Southwest Honor Choir

Three Hutchison girls recently earned honors through the choral auditions of the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educators Association (WTVMEA) and were selected to perform with the prestigious All-Southwest Senior High Honor Choir. They have spent countless hours practicing musical selections and improving their skills in preparation for auditions under the guidance of Hutchison faculty member and choir director Leiza Collins. They competed against hundreds of other students from across West Tennessee for their placements.

Senior Sarah Austin was selected to 6th-Chair Soprano II. Madyson Bolton '18 was named 12th-Chair Soprano II, and Becket Monaghan '19 was selected to 14th-Chair Alto I.

Sarah reflected on her time working with Ms. Collins and her dedication to help the girls succeed when she said, "I appreciate that Ms. Collins pushes us to practice a lot more on difficult sections because it has helped me to become more confident in many ways."
