A NOTE FROM YOUR DIVISION HEAD

Dear Parents,

Next week holds one of our most favorite days of the year for the girls in early childhood. It is the annual Hutchison St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. This year will mark the 22nd anniversary of Hutchison’s participation in a Trike-A-Thon! In those 22 years, we have raised over $230,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition, Janie Baker was presented with a Change Maker Award at the 2024 St. Jude NextGen Experience for her hard work over the years in organizing the hugely successful Trike-A-Thon for Hutchison’s early childhood program. Please plan to come join in the fun, as there are so many exciting reasons to celebrate.

Each year, it is such a pleasure to see the girls make the connection with their hard work helping the young patients of St. Jude. As always, your support of the Trike-A-Thon is greatly appreciated. Feel free to drop your daughter’s bike and helmet off at pickup on Tuesday, but if not, definitely on Wednesday morning. Please make sure that her bike and helmet are labeled with her name. We ask that you take the bike home with you after the ride if you are here on campus. If you cannot make it, please know that the event will be well-documented on the classroom Instagram pages. We are hoping to reach our goal of $10,000 (and maybe even surpass it!) for St. Jude, which will be amazing! Thank you so much for your support. The Trike-A-Thon is an incredible and fun opportunity for the girls to ride for a great cause.

Friday, April 10

  • St Jude Trike-A-Thon Permission Slips & Donations Due

Wednesday, April 15

  • 8:30-11:00 am – St Jude Trike-A-Thon
    (JK girls will ride at 8:30 am, Little Hive girls will ride at 9:30 am, and Pre-K girls will ride at 10:30 am. Riding typically lasts between 5-10 minutes.)

Thursday, April 30

  • 11:30 am-12:30 pm – Pre-K Picnic on the Farm (Parent Event)

ANNOUNCEMENTS

ST. JUDE TRIKE-A-THON

You should have received information about this great event that allows our girls to serve the community. You can submit your donations using the envelope sent home, or go to the Hutchison Early Childhood Center Trike-A-Thon Fundraiser Event page to make donations. Donations must be returned by Friday, April 10. You can also create a participant page using the Hutchison event page, where you can include a picture of and information about your daughter(s) to send to family and friends. We encourage you to join us on Wednesday, April 15, in cheering on each rider. We have allotted time after each ride for parents to exit and make room for the next group of parents to arrive. We appreciate your support of this very important St. Jude fundraising event. Thank you in advance for assisting us as we build strong character in each girl while supporting such a worthy organization!

SAVE THE DATE – HPA UNIFORM SWAP | MAY 7

JK parents: mark your calendars! The HPA Uniform Swap will be on Thursday, May 7, from 4:00-7:00 pm, and Friday, May 8, from 7:00-11:00 am. Please reach out to Jennifer Campbell, HPA Uniform Swap Chair, with any questions at (901) 619-5171.

LATE ARRIVAL, EARLY PICKUP & FORGOTTEN ITEMS

If you need to drop your daughter off after the school day begins or check her out early during the regular school day, please email your daughter's classroom teacher and ECattendance@hutchisonschool.org. Simply come to the EC office when you arrive, and we will either come get your daughter from you or we will bring your daughter to you.

HPA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

The Hutchison Parents Association has so many fun events planned this year for parents and students. We need a lot of parents to make these events happen.
