Hutchison Earns Seven Nominations in High School Musical Theatre Awards
Hutchison's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat received seven nominations in the Orpheum Theatre Group's annual High School Musical Theatre Awards.
Modeled after the Tony Awards®, the High School Musical Theatre Awards recognizes achievements in all areas of high school musical theatre. Each submitted musical goes through a judging process where community judges attend the high school productions. The judges are arts professionals within the Memphis community specializing in performance, directing, sound and lighting design, costume design, and music orchestration and direction. The winners of the awards will be announced on May 23 at The OrpheumTheatre.

Our innovative middle school STEM explorations class is designed to inspire young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through exposure to different types of STEM-adjacent careers and visits from professionals working in STEM careers, we hope to encourage the next generation of female leaders in these fields.
