Girls Explore Colleges & Universities in California
A group of 32 sophomores and juniors participated in Hutchison's college tour trip to California this spring.
The girls visited Pomona College, Claremont College, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Loyola Marymount University, University of Southern California (USC), and Pepperdine University. While visiting USC, the girls enjoyed meeting up with Hutchison alums Amanda Miller '14 and Morgan Robbins '16. At Pepperdine, the girls were able to meet with Madison Witte '13. We are glad our girls had a safe and fun time during their trip while becoming familiar with a variety of college types, sizes, and academic program offerings.
Carly Gubin ’12 played tennis at Hutchison and learned the importance of being part of a team. As a dentist, she relies on a team when caring for patients.

For her senior myExperience project, Haley Floyd ’25 combined her love of animals with a deep concern for the mental health of young women. Haley launched Pause for Paws, an initiative that brought therapy dogs to campus to offer comfort and connection. She received a 10<20 Youth Impact Award from “Memphis Parent” magazine for her work.
