9TH GRADE EVENTS: Welcome to Upper School!
FRESHMAN STUDENT ORIENTATION
Monday, August 11 | 10:00 am-1:00 pm (Labry)

This is a time for the girls to set up their lockers, receive their laptops, and meet their advisory group and their teachers. Girls may wear casual attire (shorts and t-shirts). They should plan to bring their books and supplies for locker setup. A pizza lunch will be provided for the girls.

Orientation Schedule

  Locker assignments will be posted on the bulletin board in the freshman commons.
- 10:30 am – Laptop pickup and training (Sanders)
- 11:00 am-1:00 pm – Freshman student orientation (Labry)
- 12:00-1:00 pm – Freshman parent orientation (Sanders)
FRESHMAN PARENT ORIENTATION
Monday, August 11 | 12:00-1:00 pm (Sanders)

The goal of this orientation is to welcome you to working with upper school, go over the details of the freshman retreat, and to introduce you to our 9th grade team. Families new to Hutchison will have an opportunity to stay after the meeting to ask further questions.

US PARENT OPEN HOUSE
Thursday, August 28 | 5:30-7:00 pm (Labry Hall)

The goal of this open house is for you to meet your daughter’s teachers in a relaxed environment. Feel free to visit your daughter’s classrooms in whichever order you choose.

FRESHMAN CLASS RETREAT
Wednesday, September 3-Friday, September 5

While more information (including payment information, waiver forms, packing lists, etc.) will be sent to you in August, we want to mention your daughter’s class trip to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Jasper, Arkansas. We will leave from Hutchison’s campus, via charter buses, on Wednesday, September 3, and return on Friday, September 5. This retreat provides terrific opportunities for the girls to bond as a class in a spectacularly beautiful setting and regularly is reviewed as one of the girls' favorite upper school experiences. Our 9th grade advisors and additional Hutchison faculty & staff will be in attendance. Financial assistance is available for those receiving financial assistance during the school year.

Review Your Daughter's Student Schedule

Where do I find her schedule?
Your daughter's schedule will be uploaded into myHutchison on Friday, June 20. To access it, please log in, click on your daughter's name, and then the Progress tab. Classes will be listed at the bottom of the page.
Online Bookstore

Our online bookstore will open Thursday, June 26, and we will have two weeks of free shipping (June 26-July 10) on orders of $59. You will be asked for an Authentication Code. This is your Student ID. It can be found on myHutchison on your contact card.
Athletics Information

Wellness Center Appointments

Parents of students with major health concerns such as asthma, life threatening allergies or diabetes are encouraged to sign up for a Wellness Center appointment. After-School Opportunities in the Center for Excellence

Is your daughter interested in lessons and other specialty after-school classes? During the school year, the Center for Excellence (CFE) features a variety of one-time and semester-long programs.

You can view all after-school opportunities at Hutchison beginning Friday, August 1. Online registration for our after-school programs begins at noon on Tuesday, August 5.
