Rogers Scholars Explore Neighborhood Development Program
Hutchison's Rogers Scholars joined cityCURRENT on a recent tour of the Soulsville Foundation.
The morning kicked off with a performance by Stax Music Academy students. Girls were then able to hear about and tour the three arms of the foundation, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, The Soulsville Charter School, and Stax Music Academy. Rogers Scholars is an academic co-curricular group that studies leaders and organizations impacting change in the Memphis area. Their trip to Soulsville was an excellent case study of a group of leaders coming together to change the lives of students and shape the neighborhood around them.
