Hutchison is proud to announce that our Sting varsity basketball team garnered major honors from the Daily Memphian! Senior Carmyn Harrison was named player of the year, Coach Thomas Jones was named coach of the year, and five Hutchison girls were named to the All-Metro Team for Division 2. Honorees were selected based on regular- and post-season performance and made in consultation with area coaches.
For the first time in school history, Hutchison's varsity basketball team won the TSSAA DII-AA state championship after defeating Knoxville Catholic 41-34.

Athletics Director Catherine Chubb accepted the 2017-2018 A.F. Bridges Divisional Award on behalf of Hutchison from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).
Senior student athlete Elizabeth Farnsworth was named High School Athlete of the Week by the Commercial Appeal after scoring 23 goals in three victories last week. Elizabeth is a three-time All-American, an Academic All-American, as well as Best of Preps Lacrosse Player of the Year in 2015. In 2016, Inside Lacrosse Magazine named her #6 on their list of Top Gun Juniors from across the nation.

Mary Carson Pitts ’13 has made leaps and bounds on and off the field at Tulane. She recently graduated from the university with a degree in Business Finance, all while balancing her academics with an impressive athletic record.
These days, it’s easy to look at the Hutchison lacrosse team in awe. Over the past 15 years, the girls who have played lacrosse at Hutchison have combined skill, teamwork, and determination to build the best team in the city and state. The Hutchison Sting has captured seven consecutive Tennessee state lacrosse titles since 2010 and eight total state titles to date.
Our varsity lacrosse team ran away with their seventh consecutive state title this weekend, finishing strong in the championship by defeating Harpeth Hall, 18-7.

After a successful varsity fall sports season, six of our Sting athletes were honored by being named to The Commercial Appeal's Best of the Preps team in one of four sports: soccer, volleyball, golf, or cross country.
Hutchison senior Griffin Gearhardt has signed her NCAA National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Vanderbilt University. Griffin's passion for lacrosse began at an early age and has only grown since then.
Senior night will be held Tuesday, April 13th. Tennis Seniors will be honored at half time at the Lacrosse game which starts at 6pm. Please plan on being there by 6:20 pm. We will meet at the bottom of the ramp.
Please make sure you are at the Tennis Center no later than 3:15pm for the match Tuesday. This is a Regional match to qualify for state. Black dresses please. We will play indoors if it rains.
Due to the predicted weather the Tennis match vs St George's will be moved inside @ 3:30 for the top 6 team members, unless the weather gets severe and then you will be notified otherwise

Quick review 1. No water will be available at the center so provide 1 case of Gatorade and 1 large case of water. Put your name on them place in kitchen. 2. Snacks needed for home games enough to feed 15, sealed snacks or fruit w/ skins. A roster will be available to sign up. 3. Temperature checks done at home. 4. Hutchison/MUS Invitational plan on every family bringing snacks 5. Weekly Sunday text from the Coach letting you know how many girls will be playing, you must confirm if your child will play. 6. When traveling you must make sure your child has a way there. 7. Collierville April 21 last match/practice, unless your child is in the Top 8. 8. In case of rain we will move indoors if its a Regional qualifying Match, otherwise it is cancelled.
