Inspiring the Next Generation

  • Hutchison Alumnae Give Back

Hutchison graduates become leaders in all aspects of their lives. We are fortunate to have an active alumnae community willing to give back to our School. Whether you are active in the Alumnae Association or agree to share your insights and mentor girls through the National Alumnae Board, we appreciate your willingness to help shape the next generation of leaders.

Mary Grimes Hutchison, Founder of Miss Hutchison's School

"The important thing about education is not the individual courses but teaching a student how to think for herself, to be self-reliant."

  • Alumnae Association Board (AAB)

Hutchison’s Alumnae Association Board serves as the governing body for the alumnae association and provides oversight for all alumnae activities. Members serve a two-year term and are committed to promoting the welfare of the school and to further advancing the interest, participation, and support of the Hutchison alumnae community. Key initiatives include increasing participation in annual giving, promoting local and regional events, planning reunion activities, and assisting in alumnae data cleanup.
  • National Alumnae Board (NAB)

Hutchison’s National Alumnae Board is composed of approximately 15 women who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their respective communities and forerunners in their individual professions. Members serve a two-year term and are dedicated supporters of the school and its programs, acting as regional ambassadors for Hutchison while also actively mentoring current students through Hutchison Leads, Serves, and Invests.
  • Class Representatives

Each class representative serves as a liaison between Hutchison and her respective alumnae class. The primary focus of this role is to communicate news and updates to classmates and to Hutchison, generate enthusiasm for the school, encourage attendance of alumnae events, and promote participation in the Hutchison Fund. Twice a year, Class Representatives gather Class Notes - personal and professional milestones such as job promotions, wedding announcements, awards, births or adoptions, etc. - for the biannual Hutchison magazine.
  • Regional Representatives

Regional Representatives serve as a liaison between Hutchison and our vast network of regional alumnae. Similar to Class Representatives, the primary focus of this role is to communicate news and updates and encourage attendance of regional events. Regional Representatives work directly with the Alumnae Director to organize and host “Welcome Parties” for recent graduates along with signature Hutchison gatherings throughout the year.
