First Grade Entrepreneur Takes Action

Hutchison first grader Caroline Fisher '29 knew she wanted to be hands-on while giving back to her community.
Hutchison first grader Caroline Fisher knew she wanted to be hands-on while supporting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital during our recent participation in the Go Jim Go fundraiser for Le Bonheur. So she used her own jewelry-making kit to make bracelets which she sold, and she used her proceeds to buy toys for Bunny Lane at Le Bonheur. Before a child goes into surgery, they visit Bunny Lane to pick out a toy that will be there with them when they wake up.

One of the hallmarks of a Hutchison girl is a genuine interest in giving back to the community and having a meaningful impact on others. Servant leadership is an important aspect of the Hutchison experience. Our Hutchison Serves program seeks to empower students to make a difference in the lives of others, both locally and globally, inspire them to be change agents in their communities, and instill a lifelong interest in philanthropy.

We are so proud of Caroline and her eagerness to give back to her community in such a caring way!
