Girls Earn 36 Accolades at Writing Competition

Hutchison girls earned an impressive 36 Scholastic Writing Awards at the recent Nonprofit Alliance for Young Writers’ Southeastern competition.
In genres as varied as science fiction, humor, short story, and poetry, our girls demonstrated a mastery of language beyond their years.

The nine girls who received Gold Keys (Carmyn Harrison '21, Jamie Sokoloff '21, Justine Ettingoff-McGhee '21, Jenna Davis '21, Anna Rose Thomas '21, Ann Grimes '22, Avery Clinton '22, Eliza Kamara '21, and Samantha Tancredi '18) will move on to compete nationally in March. We commend all of our Hutchison participants whose hard work and resilience enabled them to produce deeply personal, innovative, and thought-provoking creative work.
