Fall Musical Earns 9 Orpheum Musical Theatre Award Nominations

The cast, crew, directors, and design team for Hutchison's fall 2015 musical Legally Blonde have been nominated for nine awards in The Orpheum's High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA)!
Each year, students, faculty and supporters from more than 30 participating schools across the Mid-South gather at The Orpheum Theatre for the HSMTA, which is modeled after the Tony Awards. The HSMTA recognizes achievements in all areas of high school theatre. This event is part of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards program which includes 30 programs from across the country. The Orpheum Theatre will host the final awards ceremony on May 26, where more than 200 students will perform on stage. The winners of the Lead Actor and Actress categories will travel to New York City in June to compete in the Jimmy Awards held at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway.

- Outstanding Featured Actress: Patsy Detroit as Brooke Wyndham
